Noun (નામ)

Noun

→ A noun is the name of Person, Place, Qualit, Condition an action.

→ કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ, સ્થાન, વસ્તુ, ગુણ દર્શાવે તેને Noun એટ્લે કે નામ / સંજ્ઞા કહે છે.

Two types of Noun

1. Countable Noun (ગણી શકાય)
2. Uncountable Noun (ના ગણી શકાય)

→ There are three type of Countable Noun

1. Proper Noun (વ્યક્તિવાચક નામ)
2. Common Noun (જાતિવાચક નામ)
3. Collective Noun (સમૂહવાચક નામ)

→ There are two type of uncountable noun

1. Material Noun (દ્રવ્યવાચક નામ)
2. Abstract Noun (ભાવાચક નામ)

Countable Noun (ગણી શકાય તેવું)

Proper noun (વ્યક્તિવાચક નામ)

→ કોઈપણ વ્યક્તિ ,વસ્તુ કે સ્થળના ચોક્કસ નામ દર્શાવતા નામને "Proper Noun" (વ્યક્તિવાચક નામ) કહે છે.

→ વ્યક્તિવાચક નામ : Digvijay, Chirag, Sachin

→ સ્થળવાચક નામ : Gandhinagr, Surat, Ahmedabad

યાદ રાખો : Person, PLace, Thing
Example:

1. Akabr iwas a wise king.
2. Gandhinagr is the capital of GUjarat.

Common noun (જાતિવાચક નામ )

→ સામાન્ય વ્યક્તિ કે વ્યક્તિઓના વર્ગ કે સામાન્ય સ્થળ, વસ્તુ કે જાતિવાચક નામને Common noun કહે છે.

→ એક જ વર્ગના પ્રાણી, પદાર્થ કે વસ્તુના વર્ગને દર્શાવતા નામને 'common noun' (જાતિવાચક નામ) કહેવાય છે.

→ tree, person, doctor, boy ,City, garden etc .

→ Ex:- The peacock is an attractive Bird.

Collective noun (સમૂહ વાચક નામ )

→ એક જ વર્ગના પ્રાણી ,પદાર્થ કે વસ્તુના સમૂહને દર્શાવતા નામને 'Collective noun' (સમૂહવાચક નામ) કહેવાય છે.

→ જ્યારે કોઈ સમૂહ દર્શવાતા નામની વાત હોય ત્યારે Collective Noun નો ઉપયોગ થાય છે.

Group of person

→ A class of student

→ a head of cattle.

→ A group of student .

→ A bunch of FLowers.

→ class, jury ,family ,flock ,group, military etc.

→ Ex:- our team won the cricket T20 championship.

3. Aswarm of bees.
4. A heard of Swine.
5. An assembly of listerners.
6. A Gallery of picture.
7. A gang of robbers.
8. A heap of Sand.
9. AN army of ants.
10. A row of trees.
11. A museum of art.

Uncountable noun (ગણી ન શકાય તેવું)

Material noun (પદાર્થવાચક નામ)

→ પદાર્થ કે જથ્થાનો સૂચન કરતાં નામ ને Material noun કહે છે.

→ acid ,cloth ,jute ,alcohol ,copper, gold etc.

→ Ex:- the Rubber is extracted from the tree.

Abstract noun (ભાવવાચક નામ)

→ કોઈ લક્ષણ કે ગુણ જેને પ્રત્યક્ષ જોઈ કે સ્પર્શી ન શકાય ,ભૌતિક અસ્તિત્વ ન ધરાવતું હોય તથા તેને ફક્ત અનુભવી કે વિચારી શકાય તેવા લક્ષણ કે ગુણ દર્શાવતા નામને( Abstract noun ) ભાવવાચક નામ કહે છે.

→ friendship ,shortage, attendance, beauty, honesty hope, anger, idea, charity etc.

→ EX :- A mother's love is eternal.

→ A true friendship is more valuable than money.
